I´m Lurdes and it is my description of the work of art called " El Balandrito" painted by Sorolla

This magnificient painting wich is in front yours eyes is located in the xxxxx museum .

In the upper right hand corner we can ovserve a small piece of the beach .

The main figure in the paint is the boy with his sailing boat although the sea has an important role such as the child´s body .

In the middle we see a mix of colours where the sun casts its light .

On the bottom of the paint the brush strokes are somewath longer and the dark collours made to distinguish the deep sea .

In my oppinion it is a wonderful painting that I love personally to wach .

winter resort

Hello I´m Lurdes .

It´s my description of Navacerrada´s winter resort

This resort is located in the nort of the Madrid mountains , from town down 50 minutes away

being the uniquelly winter resort in the Spain capital. In this one there are six grand slopes and two slopes for practicing the cross-country skiing .

the resort also there are five bungallows that the people often use for sleeping and spend the weekend .

this is a beautiful place where the children enjoy of outdoors with many snow and trees .

The Navacerrada winter resort is the ideal place for enjoing a young familly with three children .

It is time to the best days in the year...the HOLIDAYS!!!
I can`t go now,but i will do a cruise in october during 10 days and going to diferent cities as some as Mikonos,Estambul,Venecia....
The cruises are bigs boat with a cappacity for 2000person or more....
The cruise have 400 workers and have all you need,casino,discoteque,spa,restaurant...it is a city in the water.
The prices are around 1000€ and it is incluyed the food,drinks but without incluying the excursion in different cities.
The best company of cruises are MSC,but nowadays diferent companys as some as Pullmantur or Costa Cruceros ofering several prices with diferent options to do great offers.

HOLIDAYS

In summer, people enjoy holidays with friends, family, couple... They can choose beach, mountain or city.

In the other hand, some people will work to save money and then they travel anywhere without stress.

From my point of view, I prefer beach since I want to sunbathe in some wonderful place. So, I´m going to work in the morning and then I will go to the beach since it is near. I like going to Tenerife in September again. So, I´ll stay several days to relax there.

SPORT AND FACILITIES:

Sport and exercise are important part of my life.

First because I like sport.I like much to go by bike, play tennis,go to walk,run and go to train the futbol.In the weekend game in a female football club. I don´t like cricket, motor racing and boxing.

Second: I believe that sport is very healthy for health.De stays in shape and in my case I can relax and sleep better at night.

My advice is that everyone practises some or she likes several sports during the week since it is good for health and fun.

You don´t need a lot of money for sports just takes time and dedication.

In the city there are several gyms, swimming pools, tennis courts,football fields, etc.

And you likes sport?

I like latin music,classical m,traditional,pop,chamber and opera because I enjoy listening.i didn´t like heavy metal music and reggae music because to harvest a very loud music and I don´t like.

The last concert of music I went last year was in santiago where I went to listen to and Sabina and Serrat.Only can hear a half-hour concert as it had bad weather, and it rained so they stopped.
I also like playing guitata and flauta.I like to know playing the piano.

I don´t like playing the drums.

GUIDE TO HEALTHY MEALS

I went to the doctor last monday and he gave me a guide to healthy meals. This is the guide:

- FOR BREAKFAST:

Muesli is a very good choice. Or eat a wholewheat cereal with semi-skimmed milk and no sugar. If you have toast, use wholewheat bread, and have no sugar in your tea.

- TAKE AWAYS:

A baked potato is a good choice, but use a cottage cheese filling. If you hace a burger, use a wholemeal bun, and have a salad but not chips. (Don´t have fish and chips), there is a lot of fat in this.

- MAIN MEALS

Spaghetti bolognese is OK if you use wholewheat spaghetti and eat more spaghetti than sauce. Roast chicken is good choice, but eat it with boiled potatoes, and have yoghurt with apple tart.
A very good choice is vegetable curry, but use brown rice.

I´m Eva Esperón and I´m the manager in the "Hotel Sena". We stay very cheerful that you are interesting to do a booking in our hotel.
Our hotel is a 3 stars and it is situated in the centre of the city but we have a free parking near here, approximate to 200 metres, and it is incluyed in the price.
All the rooms have bathroom and there are rooms with double or single bed. In this period is low season and it would be posible offer you a double exterior room as soon as a no smoke room within problems.
The hotel is open 24 hours and there is a recepcionist all the day in the hotel. So you needn´t call before.
our price in a double room is 5o € by person a night and it is incluyed breakfast and I.V.E., futhermore , if you want,we have restaurant in the hotel and you can meal or dinner here.

Gumball 3000 it is a race for rich people who they wanted another experience and spend her money crossing different cities in its luxury cars
The gumball borned in 1999,in Chicago and the race consist in be the first in the final line.
The race of 2008 began in London and it was finished in Berlin after a 6 days of crazy race.
The winner was Bo Brigthes with her Merceles SLK.
All the cars has a big sticker in the car with the name of Gumball 3000 and the autorities was knowed the cars and the racebut them can not did anything for closing the race.
The best of the race are the parties,becouse the most popular people go to this partys.

From my point of view, People who is finding a nice place where they can stay, they must choose a spa.

A spa is a centre of health where there are some therapies and treatments using as a resort the water.

On the other hand, it is a centre of leisure where there are some therapies with jacuzzis, swimming-pool, sauna and solarium.

The best way of relaxing is a spa without dubt. For example, a weekend break near Pontevedra can be going to Sanxenxo.

In this place there are several spas. You could stay at the weekend and you will go back home as a renovated person.

In addition, you can visit Sanxenxo since it is a beautiful village. Then, you can eat anywhere so you would taste their traditional dishes.

On Monday, you can go to work wihtout inconveniences since the therapies help you a lot.

Then I played a lot of money if I would make many things.
First I would ensure my future by buying a flat where they live. I have to buy a car for myself because I have not. And if I have any debt to the bank or someone canceled.
Secondly, I would buy some fancy clothes for example, Cologne, etc.. I also buy a ticket to travel and learn about the world.
Thirdly help to needy relatives or friends and if I play too many millions he gave a few. It would also give money to the needy and probes.
And lastly what I would enter a bank to be able to live with them. But also continue to work.

Here I am in Paris and it is raining, but I love Paris, it´s a wonderful city and there´s so much to do. Friday I went shopping in St Germain and then went to a concert in the evening and yesterday I went to Disney Park with my husband and my children, they enjoy a lot with Mickey and your friends. There are a lot of tourist in Paris in May, but I don´t mind. We saw an old friend of mine today and we walked along the seine and went dinner ina a terrace near the tower Eiffel, it was marvellous. I hope return the next year.

The last Easter, my family and I travelled from Madrid to Galicia to pass nice relax days.When we arrived in your town , we turn around during two hours for arriving in at our hotel,we haven't find some tourism office opened.

I want to tell us of Switzerland which was the country where I lived many years ago.
I traveled in Switzerland in Juni 1985 just for passing 3 monts in holydays (because my parents lived there) and I returned in Spain in december 1999...
Firstly, I should say that I think that this experience was whortwhile to live it. I learned a lots of things and I Knew many people of others countries.
Its habits, architecture,dishes,etc, are very diferent of Spain.The Swiss people is sincere, educate and they care a lot of their cities,gardens, animals...The landscapes are beautiful, in their high mountains mixed it a several of colours like:white (snow), green (trees),blue (lakes).
In other hand, to live there isn´t bargain,because there are several taxes.

Last sunday i saw a extreme challenge,is a program tv about the life and travels around the world of Jesus Calleja.
Jesus is not a tipical travellers,he does extreme challenges as well as climbing the everest,race the Paris-dakar or crossing the Polo North.He is a adventurer.
Last week he climbed the Peaks of Europe with Zapatero,the president of Spain.
For me the best trip was the crosing Fire land,with a no knowed route,the team was formed for 6 persons and walking 6 days for did the expedition.
The team went to the expedition with one bag,the bag weigth around 60kg,and inside have the food,the tent and wear.
The best moment of the expedition was the crossing the frozen lake,becaouse was very dangerous.

Most of people have seen sometimes these cartoons. The history tell us the life an american family that they live in the fictional town of Springfield. The simpson were created by Matt Groening. The members of this familiy are: Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart and Maggie.

First, Homer is the head of the household. He works in a nuclear power station. Physically, he is fat and short. He has a little hair. He wear a blue trousers, white shirt and black shoes. His personality is very childish. His hobbies are wathing tv, eating donuts, driking beer in the Moe´s bar and playing skittles.

His wife is Marge. She is a housewife very responsible in her housework. She is tall and thin. She has a large and blue hair. She wear a green dress and she has a pearl necklace.

Then, Lisa with her eight years old is a very intelligent girl. She wear a red dress, red shoes and she has a pearl necklace. She is an excellent studient and she pass every exams. Her hobbies are reading, riding horse and playing saxophone.

On the other hand, Bart is ten yerars old. He wear a blue shorts ,red t-shirt and white training. He isn´t good studient since He prefer play with his best friend Milhouse. Bart is a Joker. His favourite character is Krusty the clown. He likes making trouble with his catapult and his skateboard.

Finally, Maggie is only one years old. She doesn´t speak altought she express her words trought her dummy. She doesn´t walk neither. She wear a blue pyjamas. In her hair has a blue ribbon.

In conclusion, The Simpson are a very funny family. Every day they are broadcasted in Antena3 or Neox. We can see two chapters full of laughter, entertainment and fun.

Songs like "please, please me" and "She loves you", written by Lennon and McCartney, were famous all over the world. From that moment all their records were number one in the Hit Parade. People said they were rebels but all they wanted was a world with a little more love and peace.
The Beatles also made some funny films: "Help" and "Yellow submarine". There was nobody in the world who didj not know the beatles. They do not play as a group any more, and Jonh Lennon was killed by a madman in New York some years ago.

Crossing the Usa across the Route 66

Well...something persons dreaming with crossing the mityc route 66 (the Main Street of America) The original route begin in Chicago and crossing Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New México, Arizona, California and finished in Los Angeles.
This route is the motorbikers dreaming. Them dream with crossing the route with a harley davison,sleeping in the desert and living a real Rider life.
Nowadays the route change the original way,and have diferents options to cross USA.
I wish do the orinal route in a van,the tryp during maybe 3 moths and stopped in all the cityes to made tourism.
For sleep the best option is the Motel,is cheap,clean and stay behing the road.
The food is very bad and expensive in usa,but you don`t die,and the cofee is horrible than Spain.

TYPICAL FOOD FROM YOUR AREA:

Galician Broth.

This is the most popular dish in the rural Galician kitchen.

The meal takes simple items that could be found in one's own garden. For its development, you have to use the typical turnip tops (leaves in a kind of turnip that is found in Galicia), but if you don’t have any, you may replace them by cabbage.

Ingredients for 6 people:

300 grams of white beans.
3 / 4 kilo of potatoes.
1 bunch of turni tops.
400 grams of a pork bone150 grams of fat salty.
250 grams of beef.
1 sausage Galician.
50 grams of lard (unto)
Salt to taste.

Preparation:

Leave the beans soaking from the night before.

Put a high pot or kettle in the cooker with about 2.5 liters of water, beans, meat, sausage and pork bone.

When it starts to boil, take the lard and let it cook over a low heat for 1 hour or less.

Add the turni tops, well washed with sliced potatoes and cut in large pieces.

Add and let it cook until everything is well cooked.

To make it thick, you can draw a few potatoes and beans and crush them with a bit of broth and add this paste to the pot, mixing everything. Everyhhing has to be served with the soup, beans, potatoes and turni tops; otherwise you can take the meat to make some croquettes.

If you want to see,i thing you go to the city.You can caugth a bus and make a tour around the city visiting the best interested places,landmarks,museum and the best restaurants.The comunications are well and easiest.You can see the nigth sigthseeing.
If you choose mountain,maybe the unless choised,you can walk around the mountain,see rivers,and made adventure sports.Is very dificult to do becouse is very risky,but is the cheaper than the rest.
If you choose beach,you can catch a big paradisiac hotel in the caribe,drinking mojitos,having a sun in golden sand and see wonderfulls beaches in a all incluyed hotel...

ECOTOURISM

Nowadays, tourism is a very important source of currency for any country. Also, with the low-fares airlines every day more popular, travelling has become easier for most of the people...so we find hundreds of people queuing to visit Eiffel Tower or swimming in Caribean Sea...but, is it sustainable? Ecologist and “green” ideas are increasing importance in nearly everybody's mind...so, if you put together this two factors, you'll understand what “ecotourism” is ; the idea is to continue getting financial benefits from tourism, not only for big travel agencies but also for local people, but trying to minimize impact of visitors, building respect for the visited places and making it sustainable without destroying the environment. These are, basically, ecotourism principles ; do you agree with them? What do you think about building up big hotels 600m far from seaside. Or about the so called “sun and beach” tourism, so popular in sunny places?

In Galicia we believe in "meigas", but should we believe in prophecies? Some of these prophecies say that the end of world is coming soon...and when we realise wars increasing, AIDS spreading, and now economic recesion , what we want to know is, are we going to last until next week? The most famous prophecies were written 400 years ago by the french mystic Michel de Notredame, better known as Nostradamus ; he wrote 942 verses and, although these prophecies are not very explicit, Nostradamus' supporters say that he predicted the assassination of John F. Kennedy, Second World War, the war in the Persian Gulf and even the 11-S...should we take them seriously? what do you think about it?

Hello; my name is César, I live in Galicia and I have to say that last month I went on hollydays to Tenerife island. It was a fantastic experience which I will never forget.

I spent a week in that island. I arrived at the hotel at night and it was much hot, besides people weared shorts; I couldn't believe it!!!

I spent three days visiting all the island and three days going to the beach.

I could sea some mountains (Teide), museums and the tipycal towns of the island.

I think that it is a beautiful place to relax yourself and not to think in your own life. I recomend you going because it is an experience that nobody should loose.

Hello everybody. My name is Anxo and i work for a Spa company.
Traditionally, a spa is a place with hot mineral water to have medical baths, so spa were related to health tourisim and main customers were old people. Now a days, some spa have kept the old idea of being a place where ill people go to improve their health state by having hot mineral water baths, but many others have developed this concept to create the new spa resorts, which are more related to wellness, beauty and relax than health. Inside this places, it´s very common to find big swimming pools with a lot of muscle relaxing elements such as water jets, bubble jets, waterfalls, jacuzzi, bubble beds and others. Usually there are finish sauna and hamann or wet sauna inside them too . Several types of massage and many other body and facial treatments are available to the customers . Due to this big offer, spa customers form at present an assorted group of people, they aren´t just the sick elderly as they used to be, they are middle aged women, couples, families, old people or young sportsmen. Almost any kind of person can enjoy and feel better inside a spa.

Many tourism business men have realised about this and have built one in their hotels, and many tourists go a certain hotel because it has a spa and other hotels in the same region don´t.
Due to all this reasons, i think that spa have become an important tourism resource.

Paradores

Hi everybody, mi name is Rebeca and I am from Galicia. In my first post I would like to write about Paradores, maybe the most important Spanish hotel Chain.

Paradores are hotels which are located in unique places, as historic buildings, old palaces or convents. All of them are buildings totally renovated to accommodate tourists with all the facilities, but also there are buildings recently built.

Because of its public ownership one of the main interests of Paradores is to refurbish historic buildings, as well as to improve tourism in areas which need it.

Furthermore, over the years, Paradores have incorporated to other business. At present, a lot of them have their own stores where you can buy products of the own brand. In addition, there are different Paradores that have their own restaurants where you can find typical food from the region.

Nowadays, there are 91 paradores distributed in three categories, three, four and five stars. Most of them are four stars establishments. On the other hand only two of them are five stars, Santiago de Compostela and Leon.

In my opinion Paradores is one of the best options to travel around Spain without renounce to high quality tourism

When Conrad H. died, his son was named charman of the board. In 1982, "Las Vegas Hilton" became the them-largest hotel in the world, with 3,174 guestrooms.

Crème caramel

Ingredients for 4 people:
. 4 eggs
. half a litre of milk
. 200 g. of sugar
. half a cinnamon stick.
. lemon rind.

This is a very easy and traditional recipe. You can change any ingredient if you want to give it a different flavour.

First of all, you have to do the caramel, so put some spoons of sugar in a frying pan or in a saucepan and heat it until it turns brown and liquid, but don't forget to stir it all the time. Be careful when you heat it, because it can be burnt if you heat it too much. When it is brown and liquid, but not burnt, put it into different ramekins, moving each of them while you are dropping the caramel so that each ramekin can have the bottom covered with the caramel. Let them cool off until the caramel turns solid again.

After that, you can prepare the custard. First, preheat the oven to 180°C and then pour the milk in a saucepan and add the cinnamon stick and the lemon rind and bring it to the boil.

While the milk with the cinnamon and the lemon rind is heating you can put the eggs in a bowl and whisk them until they are well-blended. Just after that you can add the sugar the the eggs and go on whisking until they are very uniform.

When the milk boils, turn off the cooker and remove the cinnamon and the lemon rind and add the milk to the eggs and the sugar. Mix it well with a whisk or a mixer and when everything is well mixed, pour the custard into the caramel-lined ramekins.

Take a deep baking dish and fill it with water to come halfway up the sides of the ramekins and cover the dish with foil. Bake them until just set, 25 to 50 min. Remember to start checking early; baking time will depend on the thickness and depth of your ramekins and baking dish. Carefully remove the baking dish from the oven and let the ramekins cool in the water bath. Remove from the water and cover them with plastic wrap and refrigerate them at least 2 hours or up to 2 days.

Run a thin knife around the edge of the custard and invert onto a dessert plate, scraping any caramel from the ramekin onto the custard.

That's all. As you can see it's very easy and delicious.

Please, try to explain other recipes, something easy, not very complicated.

Paztcuaro it´s a colonial village in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. You can enjoy there the "Purépecha" culture, even it´s very touristic now.

One of the most important days in Patzcuaro it´s November 2 , called "Día de Muertos". At night, people go to cemetery, and take there some food and drink wich the dead people who they want to visit liked to eat and drink. They also decorate graves with orange flowers called "Zempazuchil" and candles. If the late person liked music, they take "Mariachi" to the party. It´s quite impresive!!

In Patzcuaro you can find beautiful handcrafts and great food!

I`m Paloma, i`m going to try to writte in this blog, i think it´s a good chance to practicing, but there´s a long time since I don´t write English, so Im sorry for the mistakes...

I´ll talk about one of my passions, Mexico. I was living there for a year, and maybe it could be interesting to show something about its culture, good things and also bad things of this wonderfull, and colourfull country, some advices to travel there, and of course it would be nice if you have some questions or things to discuss.

If i had to describe Mexico with just one word, i´m sure it is Colour, everything is Colour there, people, food, landscapes, music...

Why don´t start with tipically topics?People don´t wear a big roun hat, and they aren´t so lazy as they seem. They don´t say "andele ándele" every time, and yes! they use belt, not a rope like cantinflas...And you know what? have you ever seen these round hats, which are sold in chinese shops or markets? These with those little white balls around? I had never see one of those there, they never were mexicans!!

I can't study french

This year I have to choose the second language. I had thinking a lot of time in it, and finally I decided to choose French.
My God¡¡¡ I didn't know what I was doing¡¡¡
I have to say that I had never studied french before, and obviously I didn't think that probably you had to have previous knowledges. So, you can see now I feel like a mouse in a mousetrap.

Therefore in this moment I think that english language it's the most easy language in the world¡¡¡¡
I can't pronounce a word in french without my english pronunciation, I can't understand the articles, the plurals, ... I can't to stop to think in english.

And probably I can see my summer in a french academy trying to get some idea of this brother language and then can pass the exam...in September.

anticipating and respecting local cultures' expectations and assumptions

Means of transport

Hello everybody!

These days we're dealing with "means of transport" in your book and I think we can talk a little about it.

What do you think it's the best way to travel? Is it the plane? If you think so, what do you think about the differences in prices among the different companies? For example, Low Cost companies like Ryanair offer very cheap flights, however you have to pay for your luggage. Moreover, there was a problem recently in one of the Ryanair flights to Rome and a lot of people had to wait several days in the airport.

Do you think this wouldn't happen to other kind of companies? Why?

And what about the other types of transport, like the train, the bus,the subway? What do you think about them? For example, the train has changed a lot recently and those slow trains we travelled in some years ago doesn't exist. Furthermore, I think in a few years we'll be able to travel to Madrid by train in two or three hours. When this happens, will you choose the train or the plane?

Maybe, you prefer travelling by bus or by car. If so, tell us why, please. Maybe you feel more comfortable in a bus or in your car. Or maybe you don't mind the speed and what you want is just to travel .

All Saints' Day

In Spain, like in other countries, we tradicionally celebrate All Saints' Day or All Saints on November 1st. It's a very ancient Catholic or Christian tradition. In terms of Roman Catholic theology, the feast commemorates all those who have attained the beatific vision in heaven, while the next day, All Souls' Day, commemorates the departed faithful who have not yet been purified and reached heaven.

In Spain, Portugal, Poland, Mexico, France, etc. people take some flowers to the graves of dead relatives and they also light candles and leave them there until they put out.

What do you think about this tradition? I suppose some time all of you have attended the graveyard with your family to visit the graves. Did you like to visit the graveyard? or do you think it's too sad? Tell us about it.

Halloween, or Hallowe’en, is an international holiday celebrated on October 31. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting haunted attractions, carving jack-o'-lanterns, reading scary stories and watching horror movies.

The origin of this feast is in the Irish Samhain, which was the a festival on the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture, with aspects of a Festival of the Dead and it was also a celebration of the Celtic New Year. This feast was not only celebrated in Ireland, but also in a lot of places with Celtic origin like Galicia, Asturias, Bretaña, etc.

Nowadays, Halloween is celebrated in several countries of the Western world, most commonly in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Japan, New Zealand, United Kingdom and occasionally in parts of Australia. In Sweden the All Saints' official holiday takes place on the first Saturday of November.

I know Halloween is a new event in Spain, but in Galicia and in countries with a Celtic origin people have been celebrating it for centuries. Why is it so popular? Maybe because it's funny and different from the typical All Saints' day. What about you? Do you like it? Have you ever disguised yourself as a witch, a ghost, a skeleton, or anything to go to a Halloween party? Or, do you prefer the typical All Saints' day in Spain? Everybody knows the Euro Cup Soccer is very important for the tourism because a lot of people are travelling to see their team in action. This year the event is in Austria. I’m going to explain some things about to this country:

Austria borders with 8 countries: Switzerland, Czerch Republic, Germany, Liechtenstein, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia and Slovenia. The capital of this country is Vienna, and the 98% of the population talk german.

The most popular sport in Austria is alpine skiing in the Alps, and mountaineering is very tipycal in summer.

It is the homeland of a lot of music composers like Joseph Haydn, Franz Schubert, Johann Strauss, or Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. If you go to Vienna, you must listen a classical music concert!

Other famous austrians are Sigmund Freud (psychologist), Franz Kafka (novelist) or Arnold Schwarzenegger (actor and the 38th Governor of California).

About cuisine, the most important dessert is the Apfelstrudel (this is a pastry with chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, raisins and bread crumb), and the candy PEZ, what is so popular, was invented in this country too.

Perhaps, one of the most famous movies filmed in the austrian landscape is The Sound of Music. Who can forget Julie Andrews and seven children singing on the streets of Salzburg?

I wish travel to Austria some day, but is a expensive country, and this year all the hotels are full with Euro Cup Soccer. I hope Spain wins this time. We can do it!!

Most people is trying to plan their summer holidays. Some of them go to travel agencies to have their holiday plans made. However, a lot of people nowadays make their own plans, using the Internet.

Others combine both options, that is, they first look for information about their destinations in the Internet and after getting all they want, they go to the travel agency so that they can have their holiday plans made, according to what they have looked for previously in the Internet.

Which one do you prefer? Are you patient enough to look for the right offer for you among a huge amount of information? If so, tell us about it. Or do you prefer having your plans made? Is it more expensive than if you do it yourself or is not? Please tell us about it and why you prefer one of these options.

Maybe, you have an alternative way to prepare your holidays. Maybe you prefer going to the nearest airport and buy a ticket to wherever you like, that is, you buy a ticket for the next flight and you could buy there all that you need. New Seven Wonders of the World is a project that attempts to revive the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World concept with a list of modern wonders. A popularity poll was organized by the private New 7 Wonders Foundation, with winners announced on July 7, 2007 in Lisbon, Portugal.[1]

The Swiss-based New 7 Wonders Foundation claims more than 100 million votes were cast through the Internet or by telephone. Since nothing prevented fans, government or tourism agencies from casting multiple votes, the poll is considered "decidedly unscientific".

What do you think about this poll? Do you agree with the results? I've recently been to Sydney and in my opion the "Sydney Opera House" should be in that list, but there are so many beautiful monuments that should be there too. The best of all is that you can get walking to almost of the places, the worst it's the long queues that you have to support.

Zanzibar: the island of the spices

One of my dreams is to travel to zamzibar, and soon since at the moment the island does not have great agglomeration of tourist. It does some time the airlines established charter flights there, and the trips turn out to be now more attainable. Zanzibar is an archipelago formed by numerous islands. The majority they are small, but 2 major islands exist:
- Unguja: it is which colloquial she is called by the name of Zanzibar and where the capital is: Zanzibar city, whose old neighborhood was declared cultural patrimony of the Humanity, according to the UNESCO.
- Pemba: placed more in the northern part and with 980 kms of surface.
The archipelago is placed to a distance of 25-50 kms of the African continent.When you stoop the boat in Zanzibar, it will knock down the aroma of the nails. It is so sweeping that you feel that you will be unable to think about nothing different about his rich perfume during all your demurrage. But then you go to the Gardens Jamituri, just person in Stone Town's western levee. This former and dusty squareis the place of meeting of the city when young men, elders and seated children fall down the evening-, of foot or reclining they contemplate the late afternoon and the dhows (Arabic crafts) that appear in the water. Join to them to buy some of the freshest fish of the world. They will serve you octopus to the gridiron in small squares of periodic paperin a few counters illuminated only by lanterns. Easter

What do you know about Easter? It's a great feast around the world, but depending on where you live, the way people celebrate it could be very different.

In some countries, like Spain, there is a great tradition of Christian celebrations, as you can see in the photo.

However, beyond the Catholic Church, there are more non-religion Easter traditions, which include symbols like the Easter eggs or the Easter bunny.

For example, throughout North America, Australia and parts of the UK, the Easter holiday has been partially secularized, so that some families participate only in the attendant revelry, central to which is (traditionally) decorating Easter eggs on Saturday evening and hunting for them Sunday morning, by which time they have been mysteriously hidden all over the house and garden.

Chocolate eggs have largely supplanted decorated eggs in Australia.

In North America, eggs and other treats are delivered and hidden by the Easter Bunny in an Easter basket which children find waiting for them when they wake up. Many families in America will attend Sunday Mass or services in the morning and then participate in a feast or party in the afternoon.

Tell us, please, how you celebrate Easter. Everybody knows there are lots of ways of celebrating it. I'd like to know how other cultures or religions celebrate it.

Your company has called us, because there're a lot of executives that have to fly once or twice during the week, and they have fear of flying.
This morning I'm going to be showing you how to lose it and then I'll go on to highlight what I see as the main advantages of our system.

Then to summarize, your company has decided that you have to work calmy, because it's better for both of you. You don't need to work so pressured by fear.

Please, look at me. I'm the best example. I'm remembering my honeymoon. We had decided to travel to Florence. You're thinking and...? Ok . My husband had a tremendous fear of flying and we had to go by car. It's crazy¡ Romantic but crazy¡¡¡
Years ago, we decided that he had to do this program , because it's not good for your life because the fear doesn't give you the oportunity to do a lot of things.
Think about it please!

Perhaps, we can solve any questions you may have until the end of presentation.

As you can see most of the sick leaves are before and after the fly. Together they represent an 87% of the total. I,m sure that the message is that we have to solve this problem.

A resort is a place used for relaxation or recreation, attracting visitors for holidays or vacations. Resorts are places, towns or sometimes commercial establishments operated by a single company. Such a self-contained resort attempts to provide for most of a vacationer's wants while remaining on the premises, such as food, drink, lodging, sports, entertainment, and shopping.

The term "resort" sometimes is misused to identify a hotel that does not provide the other amenities required of a full resort. However, a hotel is frequently a central feature of a resort, such as the Grand Hotel at Mackinac Island, Michigan. A resort is not merely a commercial establishment operated by a single company, although in the late twentieth century this sort of facility became more common.

This is one of the photographs I took when I visited a small town on Galicia's north coast. I love watching the sea, the big waves hitting the rocks. It's wonderfull. I love the strength of the sea, the breeze, in general: the power of nature.

This is a blog for writing in English. I know it's always very difficult to write in another language different from your own when you are learning, but it's a question of practice. So I've created this blog for you to practise. If you are a Tourism student or a student of any other career, you are welcome to this place to write in English whatever you want: comments about the English subject, or any other subject; experiences travelling around the world, or around your country, you ideas about whatever you want, ...

Express yourself in English. Don't worry about if you are doing well or not, just write. Everybody can make comments to your writings, so you'll improve anyway.

Don't worry if you think what you have to say is not very interesting: everything is interesting, expressing in English is interesting and important for you, so do it.
