About Patzcuaro

Paztcuaro it´s a colonial village in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. You can enjoy there the "Purépecha" culture, even it´s very touristic now.

One of the most important days in Patzcuaro it´s November 2 , called "Día de Muertos". At night, people go to cemetery, and take there some food and drink wich the dead people who they want to visit liked to eat and drink. They also decorate graves with orange flowers called "Zempazuchil" and candles. If the late person liked music, they take "Mariachi" to the party. It´s quite impresive!!

In Patzcuaro you can find beautiful handcrafts and great food!

Hi Paloma!

Yes, it's very impressive. I didn't know about that. I thought that here, in Galicia, we have a special relationship between the dead, because of our folklore, however I see it's no so special as the one in Patzcuaro.

Thank you for letting us know it.

About the grammar, the post is very good, you only need an article (the) before cemetery, because it's supposed they go to a specific one. You also need the plural form of "drinks" because it's countable and with "some" it has to be in plural.

I suppose you've forgotten the "h" in "which" and an "s" in "impressive".

Don't worry about these, because it's good writing not only grammatically but also it's well organized and clear.

See you!

Hello Paloma
I knew this mexican tradition because two years ago I went to a exposition of mexican culture in Santiago.
They too create scultures with bones and skulls and dress them with the clothes of the death persons.
